Walter de la Cruz Que & Miriam Garcia Jimenez / Th.M. 2017 from Mexico

In July 2022, Mr. Walter Jasem de la Cruz Que from Mexico who finished his Th.M. at GIT in 2018 was ordained as Pastor at the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico. Also, he and his wife Mrs. Miriam Garcia Jimenez have been teaching in the Theological Presbyterian Seminary of Mexico, the main Seminary of the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico. And seeing the needs in the church, they looked forward to continuing their theological journey. Therefore, Mr. Walter will be doing a Th.M. in Theology and History of the Church of Scotland at the Edinburgh Theological Seminary, and Mrs. Miriam will be doing a Th.M. in Theology in History at the University of Edinburgh. They do have a strong perspective on continuing with a Ph.D. program as well. Now, with their experience teaching in the Seminary and their process of applying to study for another master’s degree, they see that their strong theological education has empowered them and prepared them to face the challenges and needs to be required. They would like to say that it's a great honor and pride for both of them to continue further studies after studying at GIT. They said their hearts will always be grateful to the professors, colleagues, sponsors, and staff who made all this possible.
