[2023 Fall Semester Thesis Research Proposal Submission & Thesis Examiner Registration]

Note: Students on leave of absence are not allowed to submit a research proposal as well as to defend a thesis.

주의사항: 휴학생은 학위논문 연구계획서 제출 및 논문심사가 불가합니다.

If you are eligible to submit a research proposal for Th.M. or Ph.D. degree at UGST, please refer to the following instructions to submit your proposal and register your thesis examiners within the deadline.

연합신학대학원 석·박사 학위논문 연구계획서 제출 대상자(재학생) 께서는 다음의 안내를 참고하시어 기한 내 연구계획서 제출 및 논문심사위원 등록을 완료하시기 바랍니다.

1. Submission Deadline 제출기한

- Submission of Research Proposal 연구계획서 제출: 2023. 8. 17. (Thu) ~ 2023. 9. 15. (Fri)

- Thesis Examiner Registration 논문심사위원 등록: 2023. 8. 17. (Thu) ~ 2023. 9. 18. (Mon)

2. Submission procedure 제출절차 (Log in to Yonsei Portal (portal.yonsei.ac.kr) and access the "Academic Information System" 연세포털(portal.yonsei.ac.kr) 로그인 후 "학사정보시스템" 접속하여 제출)

  A. Check your English name (same as your passport) 

  가. 영문성명(여권과 동일) 점검

   - Check your English name at 'Academic Information > Academic Affairs > Student > Academic Information Check' menu; apply for the information correction if necessary by clicking the 'Application for correction of school register bookkeeping' menu. If your name is registered correct, please go to the next page.

   - 학사행정>학적>학생>학적정보조회 메뉴에서 영문성명 확인하고 정정이 필요한 경우 ‘학적부기재정정신청’ 메뉴를 통해 정정신청

  B. Select Graduation Fulfillment: 'Academic Information > Graduation > Student > Select Graduation Fulfillment' menu Specify the graduation examination type as '학위논문' and save it.

  나. 졸업심사유형지정: 학사행정>졸업>학생>졸업심사유형지정 메뉴에서 졸업심사유형을 ‘학위논문’으로 지정 후 저장

※ UGST does not have a detailed major, so the detailed major: Store it as unspecified.

※ 연합신학대학원은 세부전공이 없으므로 세부전공: 미지정 상태로 저장

  C. Research Proposal Submission

  다. 연구계획서제출

   1) Access the 'Academic Information > Graduation > Student > Research Proposal Submission' menu and write a research plan after agreeing to the pledge to comply with research ethics for the Thesis.

   1) 학사행정>졸업>학생>연구계획서제출 메뉴 접속하여 학위논문 연구윤리 준수 서약에 동의 한 후 연구계획서 작성

   2) After filling in all the thesis advisor and thesis information fields, click the submit button to submit the final submission.

   2) 논문지도교수 및 논문정보란을 빠짐없이 입력한 후 제출버튼 클릭하여 최종제출

    ※ Please note that it cannot be modified after the final submission.

    ※ 최종제출 후에는 수정할 수 없으므로 제출에 유의하여 주시기 바랍니다.

    ※ Doctoral students must fill out the "Colloquium Presentation Application" in <Attachment 1> and submit it after attaching it to the attached file (required).

    ※ 박사과정은 <첨부 1>의 "콜로키움 발표신청서"를 작성하여 첨부파일란에 첨부(필수)한 후 제출해야 함. 연구계획서를 제출한 학기에는 콜로키움을 진행하고 그 다음 학기부터 논문 예·본심을 받을 수 있음.

   3) The research plan submitted by the student is approved by the supervisor and the UGST.

   3) 학생이 제출한 연구계획서는 지도교수 및 연합신학대학원의 결재를 거쳐 승인됨.

  D. Thesis Examiner Registration

  라. 논문심사위원등록

   - 'Academic Administration > Graduation > Student > Thesis Examiner Registration' menu and submit it after registering as an Examiner 

   - 학사행정>졸업>학생>논문심사위원등록 메뉴에서 심사위원 등록한 후 제출

    ※ Master's is entered by both the thesis advisor and the Examiner. Ph.D. can only enter the thesis advisor (required) if the reviewers are undecided, and the rest of the referees can be entered in the next semester.

    ※ 석사는 논문지도교수 및 심사위원 모두 입력. 박사는 심사위원 미정시 논문지도교수(필수)만 입력하고 나머지 심사위원은 다음학기에 입력 가능함.

3. Other precautions 기타 유의사항

  - Doctoral students who passed the comprehensive examination last semester must submit a Research Proposal for their thesis this semester (after the presentation of the colloquium this semester, thesis review can be done from the next semester).

  - 지난학기 종합시험에 합격한 박사과정생은 이번 학기 반드시 학위논문 연구계획서를 제출하여야 합니다(이번학기 콜로키움 발표 후 논문심사는 그 다음 학기부터 가능).

  - Students who do not register for the "Thesis" course (6 credits) will not be eligible for the thesis review. If you are going to have a thesis review this semester, you must have registered for a thesis course on the portal.

  - "논문" 과목(6학점)을 수강신청하지 않은 학생은 논문심사를 받을 수 없습니다. 이번학기 논문심사를 받으실 예정인 경우 포탈에서 논문 과목을 수강신청한 상태여야 합니다.

  - Information on the preliminary examination and main examination of the Thesis will be announced separately on the website.

  - 학위논문 예비심사·본심사에 관한 안내는 홈페이지를 통해 별도 공지 예정입니다.
