Congratulations upon your academic achievements and honorable graduation from Yonsei University.

Please read the following information regarding the commencement ceremony.

I. Check the Prospective Degree Recipient of August 2022 (2022년 8월 학위취득 예정자 조회)

- The UGST Administrative Office sent a text message to you regarding the prospective degree recipient. If you didn't receive it, please contact the UGST Office (02-2123-3243, Mr. Choi).

II. Commencement

1. Commencement for the Whole Yonsei University Graduates (전체 학위수여식)

 a. 11:00 AM, Friday, 26 August 2022, at the Main Auditorium(대강당)

 b. For Master's Students, please come to the Main Auditorium with your cap and gown on by 10:30 AM (There will be NO photo session).

 c. Commencement Picture for Doctoral Students
- Time: Friday, 26 August 2022 10:25 AM (Please come by 10:15)
- Location: In front of the Underwood Hall (The president and the vice president of Yonsei University, and the Dean and the Associate Dean of the Graduate School will be joining the photo session)

- After the commencement picture photo shoot, you will be entering the commencement hall with your cohorts. Please have your cap and gown on for the photo shoot by 10:15 AM in front of the Underwood Hall, and be ready to enter the commencement hall.
 d. Instructions for the Degree Conferment during the Commencement Ceremony
- Master's Students: All graduating students must stand up when the student representative walks up to the stage. When the representative receives his/her diploma from the President, turns back, and shifts the tassel from the right to the left, all master's students should move his/her tassel in the same way. You can sit down when the representative steps down.

- Doctoral Students: Please stand up when your name is called. You will be seated when the student representative receives his/her diploma from the President and comes down from the stage.

2. "UGST" Exclusive Commencement (연합신학대학원 학위수여식)

 a. 2:00 PM, Friday, 26 August 2022, at the UGST Chapel Hall (2nd Floor of Theology Bld.)

 - This is a separate event hosted by UGST. Each graduate will be conferred the degree certificate individually.
 b. Commencement Picture for UGST/GIT Students with Professors (Th.M. & Ph.D.)

 - 1:30 PM, Friday, 26 August 2022 (please come by 1:15), in front of the Theology Bld.
* All the photos will be shared with the graduates later on.

III. Guidelines for the Gown Rental and Degree Distribution

1. Graduation Gown Rental (Th.M. students ONLY)

 a. To borrow the master's gown, please visit the UGST Office (Theology Hall #113) from August 17th to 26th (except the weekend) / 9:30 AM ~ 4:30 PM.

 b. The student must pay the rental fee (7,000 KRW) in advance before visiting the office.

 - How to pay the rental fee: Yonsei Portal (https://portal.yonsei.ac.kr) > Log-in > Academic Information System > Academic Management System >  Student Record > [학위가운대여] > Check the virtual bank account number > Please make a payment and print a payment confirmation form.

 - If someone else comes to pick up the gown on your behalf, he/she must present the payment confirmation form and your identification card.

 - You must return all the books to the library otherwise the rental cannot be available.

 -Please return the gowns by 4:30 PM on August 26th to the UGST Office.

 - Doctoral students must prepare ceremony gowns individually. (How to prepare a graduation gown -- Click HERE)
