[Thesis] Fall 2024 Semester Degree Thesis Submission Guide



To all students submitting degree theses for the 2024-2 semester, please review the following information and proceed with the degree thesis submission process.


1. Submission of Online Thesis File (PDF)


a. Period: 2025. 1. 2 (Thur) 09:00 ~ 1. 8 (Wed) 17:00 (Available 24 hours during the period)



b. Method: Access the Library Degree Thesis Submission System (https://dcollection.yonsei.ac.kr)


c. Notes:

1) Mandatory for submitters: Refer to the attached “Guide to Online Thesis Submission Procedure”


2) The PDF file must include the approval page with the names of all committee members.

- The signatures (stamps) of the committee members are optional for the PDF file submission.

3) When entering the thesis title in the Library Degree Thesis Submission System, follow these guidelines:

- Title: The title on the cover of the degree thesis (Copying and pasting the cover title is recommended)


- Secondary Language Title: The translated title listed in the secondary language abstract, thesis cover, and submission form

4) The thesis title entered in the academic portal must be identical to the title entered in the Library Degree Thesis Submission System (Copying and pasting the library title is recommended)

- Ensure the capitalization, spacing, and special characters match exactly

- If "thesis title mismatch" is found during the thesis information verification stage in the portal, correct the portal thesis title based on the library title.


- The library title can only be corrected for typographical errors, not for the reasons above.



2. Submission of Printed Degree Thesis


a. Period: 2025. 1. 9 (Thur) ~ 1. 15 (Wed) 09:00 ~ 17:00 (excluding Sat/Sun, strict adherence to the period required)


b. Location: Yonsei·Samsung Library 2nd Floor Yoon Jong Ik Academic Information Education Room(학술정보교육실) 

    Rm #211


c. Submission Materials:


1) Four copies of the printed degree thesis


- Five copies if copyright is not agreed or if affiliated with the Graduate School of Law


- At least one copy must include the original approval page with the committee members' signatures (stamps)


- Proxy submissions are allowed (Ensure to bring a copy or photo of the graduating student's ID card)


2) One copy each of the copyright agreement form and the degree thesis submission confirmation


- These forms can be printed after receiving online submission approval.

- Submit the degree thesis submission confirmation, signed by the library office, to the GIT office by 17:00 on 1. 15 (Wed)


3. Inquiries regarding Degree Thesis Submission

b. Thesis Information Verification in the Yonsei Portal, Degree Thesis Approval Application, Graduation Assessment: Contact the GIT Office

4. Information for Doctoral Students



a. Publication of Doctoral Degree Thesis

[Regulations on Graduate School Degree Theses]


Article 19 (Publication of Doctoral Degree Thesis): A person who has received a doctoral degree must publish their doctoral degree thesis within one year from the date of receipt.

b. Survey of New Doctoral Degree Holders in the second half of 2025 (February)

- Access the following URL (http://www.narastat.kr/emdh) and complete the survey, then submit the printed "Survey Completion Certificate" to the GIT Office.


- Survey content: General information on the doctoral degree, post-graduation plans and employment status, postdoctoral and adjunct positions, respondent background, etc.


- Submission deadline: ~2025. 2. 28 (Fri)
