Lizette Pearl G. Tapia-Raquel / Ph.D. 2017 / from the Philippines

Union Theological Seminary, Philippines is proud to announce its new Academic Dean, The Rev. Lizette Pearl G. Tapia-Raquel, Ph.D.

Lizette is an ordained Deacon of The United Methodist Church. She is an Associate Professor of Theology teaching Babaylan and Feminist Theologies, Christian Social Ethics, and Ecumenics. She has also previously served in various administrative capacities at Union prior to this appointment. She finished her Ph.D. at the Global Institute of Theology in 2020. Her election and appointment to this position have been confirmed by the UTS Board of Trustees on 28 July 2022.
