Felix Kang Esoh  / Ph.D. 2017 /  From Cameroon

Q1. Tell us about yourself.

I am Rev. Dr. Felix Kang Esoh a pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon and currently serving as the Vice Dean in charge of academic affairs of the Presbyterian Theological Seminary Kumba, Cameroon. I am married to Mrs. Mankah Nicoline Amabo a teacher of Information and Communication Technology. We have four kids.

Q2. Could you tell me the reason why you chose GIT for your studies?

I chose GIT for my studies because of its global and ecumenical nature. At the time I was coming to GIT, most of my colleagues in the faculty came from Africa, Europe and America. I needed a place to develop new perspectives and was fortunate to hear of GIT.

Q3. What do you think is the biggest strength or the source of pride which the GIT program possesses?

The biggest strength is the diversity of the teaching staff. This helps in bringing the world's Theological orientations in a single campus. Equally important is the contextual but global nature of its courses.

Q4. What are you working on these days, after graduating from GIT?

I am a Lecturer and vice dean of the Presbyterian Theological Seminary Kumba were I teach Church History, Missiology, Pentecostalism and African Traditional Religions/Theology.

Q5. Do you have any advice or encouraging words for the current GIT students?

To the current git students, I pray they take all the opportunities available seriously. They will never regret being part of the git ecumenical spirit and bigger Yonsei dream.
