The United Graduate School of Theology invites applications for the Fall 2026 exchange program at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Interested students are encouraged to apply within the designated application period.

※ Please note that the exchange program may be subject to change or cancellation depending on CUHK’s decision regarding the operation of its Fall 2026 semester. Any updates will be announced on the United Graduate School of Theology website.

1. Eligibility

a. Academic Status
Applicants must be graduate students of the United Graduate School of Theology (including GIT) who will have completed at least two semesters of the master’s program as of August 2026, and who are applying to participate in the exchange program during their third semester (one semester abroad).

b. GPA Requirement
Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.3 (equivalent to 86/100) up to the semester immediately preceding the application.

c. English Proficiency

• - TOEFL 550 (PBT) or 80 (iBT) or higher
• - IELTS 6.5 or higher

d. Exemption from English Test Requirement
Applicants who are citizens of English-speaking countries or who have completed their entire undergraduate degree in English are exempt from submitting English test scores.

f. Required Documents

1. - Application Form (attached template)
2. - Official English transcripts from all universities attended (original copies for external submission with percentage grading scale indicated)
3. - Copy of official TOEFL score report (Institutional TOEFL is not accepted)

※ If the official score report has not yet been issued, applicants may submit a screenshot of the online score report and submit the official document later.
※ Only test scores issued on or after September 1, 2024 will be accepted.

3. Tuition and Expenses

a. Students must pay regular tuition to Yonsei University during the exchange semester.
b. All other expenses, including accommodation and living costs related to the exchange program, must be covered by the student.

4. Transfer of Credits

Up to 9 credits earned during the exchange program may be recognized toward graduation, subject to the credit transfer policy of the United Graduate School of Theology.

5. Important Notes

a. Submitted documents will not be returned.
b. The English name on the application form, transcript, and TOEFL score report must exactly match the name on the passport.
c. Applicants who do not attend the interview will be disqualified.
d. Applicants must provide accurate and reachable contact information (phone number and email).
e. The final selected student must also submit a separate application to CUHK within the designated deadline. Detailed instructions will be provided later.
