[Graduation Ceremony and Gown Rental Information for February 2026 Graduates]

I. February 2026 Commencement Ceremony (Yonsei University Main Ceremony)

A. Date & Time: Monday, February 23, 2026, at 10:30 am

B. Venue: Open-Air Theater

II. The United Graduate School of Theology graduation ceremony 

A. Date & Time: Monday, February 23, 2026, at 2pm

B. Venue: Chapel, 2nd Floor, Underwood(Wonduwoo) Theology Hall

C. This ceremony is hosted by the Graduate School of Theology and the College of Theology. During the degree conferral, each graduate will personally receive their diploma.

D. Commemorative Photo Session: After the ceremony, a group photo with the professors will be taken in the chapel. The photo files will be shared at a later date.

E. All graduates are required to wear full academic regalia (please refer to the gown guidelines below) and gather in the lobby in front of the chapel by 1:45 p.m

III. Gown Rental and Diploma Distribution

A. Gown and Cap Distribution (For Master's Graduates)

- Location: The United Graduate School of Theology Administration Office (Underwood Theological Hall, Room 113).

- Distribution Times: February 13 (Friday) 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM

                                   February 18 (Thursday) 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM

                                   February 23 (Monday) 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM

Graduates are required to present their ID and receipt for the cleaning and storage fee of the gown to collect their items. If someone is collecting on behalf of a graduate, they must bring the graduate’s ID and receipt.

- Cleaning and Storage Fee: 7,000 KRW for Master's graduates (to be paid via virtual account) [How to make payment: Yonsei Portal > Academic Information System > Graduation > Gown(학위가운)

- Library Books: Graduates with unreturned library books must return them to the Library and obtain a clearance certificate before receiving their gown and cap.

B. Doctoral Gown: Doctoral candidates are responsible for preparing their own gown, hood, and cap. Please contact gown suppliers directly, such as Chunchoo (http:/chunchoo.co.kr, 02-312-6661) or Sungui Shop (http://www.gown21.com, 02-754-7650) for inquiries.

IV. Return of Gown and Cap and Diploma Distribution

Return and Collection: Graduates must return their gown and cap to the Administration Office and collect their “Diploma” by 4:30 PM on February 23, 2026 (Monday).

* Note: Failure to return the gown and cap will result in a suspension of certificate issuance.

★ Please note that the design rights for Yonsei University’s academic gowns and hoods have been officially registered and are legally protected as original designs.
The academic gowns and hoods that you purchase or rent may not be sold, rented, or transferred to others, including external studios.
Any violation of this policy may result in civil and criminal liability in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
