Visiting Professor Recruitment

We are seeking for a visiting Professor (or a scholar) who would teach an intensive seminar for GIT.

1. Openings
※ Position may be adjusted during the review process based on employment conditions.

2. Qualification

A. Common Qualification

- Applicants must meet the Public Officials Act, the Private School Act, and the University's Personnel Regulations.
- Persons who are not subject to employment restrictions under the Act on Sex Protection of Children and Adolescents.

- Those who have more than 4 years of education and research experience after graduating from university, or have the equivalent qualification

- Those who have more than 7 years of education and research experience after graduating from community college
B. Qualifications for Visiting Professor (Applicants must meet one of the following criteria)

- Current or former full-time faculty members at domestic international universities

- Individuals with extensive practical experience and academic achievements in the relevant field

- Individuals who have obtained a master’s degree and have at least two years of research or teaching experience afterward

3. Application Period

A. Application Period: 09:00 Wednesday, October 15th ~ 17:00 Friday, October 24th, 2025 (KST)

※ The schedule may change according to the circumstances of the university.

4. Required Documents

                A. Application Form: personal Info., Self-Introduction, Research Achievements, Sample Syllabus (attached)
                B. Proof of Research Achievements(optional): one merged pdf file with the latest 3 years’ research work

                    (title, cover page, poster, etc.)
                C. Degree Certificates: copy of Bachelor degree certificate & degree certificate of the highest degree

                    (e.g. Ph.D.)
                D. Certificate of (current) Employment: Please contact the admin office of your institutions to issue the

                     letter.
                E. Consent Forms (attached, legally obliged)

                    - Consent Form for the Collection and Use of Personal Information for Part-time Faculty Members

                    - Consent to Inquiry into Sexual Criminal Records and Grounds for Disqualification

                    - Pledge regarding the Protection and Security of Personal Information

                    - Information Security and Personal Information Protection Training
                      ※ Additional documents may be further required if necessary.

           5. Evaluation Process

               A. 1st round (Document screening) → 2nd round (Interview)

                   (Applicants who are fully qualified may be exempt from the second round.)
               B. Accepted applicants will be contacted individually.

           6. Contract Period: March 1st, 2026 ~ February 28th, 2026 (1 year)

           7. Note

               A. If there is no suitable candidate, the university reserves the right not to make an appointment.
               B. The recruitment schedule may be subject to change based on the university’s circumstances.
               C. The assigned courses may be changed depending on class opening conditions.  

                    (Depending on the circumstances, additional courses may be assigned, or some of the initially listed courses may not be assigned).

               D. Submitted documents will not be returned, and if any discrepancies or falsifications are found in the submitted documents, the applicant will be disqualified, and any appointment will be canceled.

               E. Additional documents may be required for successful applicants.

               F. Applicants are solely responsible for any disadvantages resulting from errors or omissions in the

                   application, failure to meet the qualifications, lack of contact, or failure to check the results at each stage of  the recruitment process.

               G. Matters not specified in this announcement are subject to Yonsei University regulations.
