2024 Incentive Program for Publications in Academic Journals 

1. Purpose

In order to improve the research ability of students to discover excellent thesis in the United Graduate school of Theology, Yonsei University we are offering scholarships for these published in academic journals as described below.

2. Application Guide

1) Target of Support

- The first author or corresponding author of a thesis published within the last one year (March 2023 to March 2024) as an enrolled student of The United Graduate school of Theology, Yonsei University (students on leave of absence are ineligible to apply.)

※ Author affiliation must be listed as “The United Graduate school of Theology, Yonsei University”.

※ Co-authors must not be more than three.

※ The publication must be related to the student's major field.

2) Application Period and Location: 2024 March 18 (Mon)~ April 14 (Fri), Office of the United Graduate School of Theology Administration Office (H.G. Underwood Theology Hall, Room 113, gitoffice@yonsei.ac.kr)

3) Documents to be Submitted:

① Application form (attached form)

② Printed copies of the published papers

3. Payment Criteria

1) Scholarship Amount

- A&HCI Academic Journals: KRW 500,000 per journal

- Journals registered by the National Research Foundation of Korea (한국연구재단): KRW 300,000 per journal

2) Notice

- In cases of joint research involving up to three authors, the scholarship will be divided equally among the authors.

- For students applying with multiple journals, each journal will be evaluated and approved for payment separately.

- Payments will be made within the scope of the financial resources. In the event of a budget shortfall due to a high number of applicants, a qualitative evaluation may be conducted, and incentives will be distributed starting with the highest-scoring submissions.

- A maximum of 2 journals per year and up to 5 journals during the course of study may receive incentives.
